Last month I was writing about shifting paradigms and how we need to
solve problems from a higher level of consciousness. Old paradigms
such as the linear progression of school, college, and career don't
seem to work anymore. Many of my clients get to the point where the
typical 9-5 corporate job in a hierarchical organization doesn't work
for them any longer. Much of my coaching is around the transition
I recently came across a book called "Life Entrepreneurs - Ordinary
People Creating Extraordinary Lives" by Christopher Gergen and Gregg
Vanourek (see link below).
According to the authors, "people are looking for opportunity,
challenge, and the chance to develop their talents, achieve success,
and make an impact. But they are also looking for a rich home life,
rewarding friendships, an active lifestyle and deeper fulfillment.
Life entrepreneurs are able to thrive in all these realms by
proactively taking the following steps:

I agree with all of these steps. The challenge lies in following
through with all of these steps on a daily basis, when challenges get
in the way. Being a life entrepreneur requires being proactive and
being disciplined, otherwise we either don't even get started or we
get sidetracked - and distractions are everywhere. Above all it
requires us to really know who we are and being willing to show up to
our own life. It
The book gives a good foundation of what areas to look at. The
stories cited are compelling and inspiring. And yet a book doesn't
give you a chance to talk through your thoughts, feelings, your
concerns and desires, your inner most gremlins. That's why I love
